It’s not sad
just read between the lines
you’ll see there is a freedom
just look, it’s there to find
It’s not dark
just wait for the next page
wisdom grows from pain
love washes hurt away
It’s not me
not now anyway
but the past must have a voice
if I’m to treasure my today
It’s not that
I’m writing this for you
it’s where I learned life’s lessons
it’s how my strong voice grew
It’s just that
it led to clarity
When I confronted pain
wisdom set me free
