It has been weeks,
or maybe months;
feels like years.

Afflicted by your
missing presence...

I no longer sleep in
the bed we once laid on.

I no longer listen to
the songs we used to dance to.

I no longer walk down the streets
where we walked hand in hand.

My broken heart,
needing to be mended,
which only you
can repair.

Night after night, I sleep,
restlessly, hoping to never wake.
Hoping to be with you again.

I miss you.
