I need you to be a handsome stranger,
beckoning me close with a come-hither smile,
a look in your eye that dares me to be reckless,
to take a leap of faith once in awhile.

A fireman I need now, sturdy, willing, and able,
always there when needed, coming quickly to the rescue
and lending a helping hand that's caring and capable
saving me from the fires and desires of my soul.

A cowboy touches a chord every time he struts by,
confident in who he is, exhuding a classic down-home charm.
Brings me to my knees when he opens the door for me,
and then builds a fire before telling me stories from the stars.

A laborer goes to work already weary from the day before,
yet knows the dues o pay to keep the wolves from his door.
A strong cup of coffee, my kiss and he's off to work
for a long, hard day he can come home from, feeling accomplished for.

A banker wouldn't be remiss either, frugal and methodical,
looking to the future with the past in his hands, investing time and energy,
he's grounded and he loves the little thrill
of saving up the extra after every paid bill.

An Adonis I crave to wake my body from its slumber,
hold me tight, every nigh, keep me on fire for more,
his touch will keep my warm, my kiss will make him flame,
and we'll flare in ecstacy, afire in the intrinsic dance.

My body will sing for the musician who plays me like a finely-tuned instrument.
Hands caressing my trembling flesh to make music we'll both enjoy.
Fingers pluck, tools slide smoothly along taut curves and lines,
we combine to make a concerto never to be surpassed.

An empath will know what I need before I know myself,
he'll read me like an open book, prized and treasured.
We'll see each others flaws and charms and shattered dreams,
sharing our sorrows, joys and laughter, equal partners.

I need a one who encompasses all of these thoughts and more,
One who will be delighted when I knock at his door.
We'll have shared dreams, a future destiny,
part of each other's soul; we'll make each other whole.
