Talking to you makes me cry.
Sharing with you tears my soul.
So I will stop showing myself
and I will keep it all locked away.
You'll see the smiling eyes
you wish to see.
You'll gaze upon the upturned lips
and sparkling smile you desire.

And I. . .

I will remain hidden in the cloak
of darkness that seems to constantly descend on me.
I will sit and try to breathe.
I will hover and lock away my feelings,
because to explore them hurts too much.
I will be the woman you all expect me to be.
Friendly, happy and strong.
I will never be me.
