When I heard you screaming aloud my name
I ran to your arms to relieve your pain
Your voice reveberated through the sands of time
So I lovingly cradled your head against mine

Slowly you slipped from my ever-loving care
When you whispered, 'Existence is too much to bear"
All I could do was hold you to my heart
Knowing that we would never be apart

Some time has passed since you said goodbye
But I know you shine down on me from the darkened sky
You brighten the heavens like a jewel in the nile
The remnants of the gleam I saw in your smile
