I smile, I cry, I smile

Whenever I think of my love, I smile.
He’s been gone a while now and
 I don’t know if he’ll be back.
But I remember how it was, and I smile.

The laughter that filled the air
Was music to my ears.
The way we giggled at silly things
That filled our eyes with tears.
I remember and I smile.

We made sweet love in the morning,
 Then started our day.
We made love again in the nighttime.
  It was always that way.
  I remember, and I smile.

Our bodies melted together as one,
Our minds only on each other.
We kissed and the world went away,
Thinking it would be that way forever.
  I remember, and I smile.

  We held each other close
  And whispered, “I love you.”
The air was charged with emotion.
“There will never be anyone but you.”
   I remember, and I smile.

 We loved each other fiercely
 Never intending to let go.
 Time changed things somehow.
How cruel to watch it slip away so slow.
 I remember, and I cry.

We tried to hang on, we really did,
But what we had slipped away.
 We knew it was over.
 Knew it was gone.
 I remember and I cry.

What happens to a love that has gone bad?
Does it drift into space or fall into the sea?
When does it start and what makes it end?
Can it be brought back or is it lifted away
 Forever on the wind?

I remember the good times and I smile.
I remember the bad times and I cry.
 I remember the heartache,
But remember the good times more,
 And I smile.

Great Job!

This is very good! Not as erotic as I would prefer, but very good!
