I tried to get you out of my head
So I took my pen to paper
Bleeding you out of my system
As the ink bled from my pen
But you just kept seeping back in

I tried to get you out of my head
So I took my paint to canvas
Each brush stroke echoed my love of you
When I finished I stepped back I saw your face
You're the masterpiece that belongs in Mona Lisa's place

I tried to get you out of my head
So I took the clay in my hands
I closed my eyes and molded it
It became you for I have you memorized
And the clay never lies

I tried to get you out of my head
So I plucked at the ivory keys
Every note sounded like your voice to me
The song I wrote became a tribute to you
It's this way with everything I do

You have become a permanent part of me
Like the tattoos on my skin
You are imprinted upon my heart
I remember every word you've said
And nothing can get you out of my head
