I dreamt you from the void, your
icecoldhandsuponmyneck
stealing my breath

as you drive your frigid
ice pick shaft

deeply into core of my famished being
violating my boundaries,

my pulsating walls surrounding you.
I must have asked for this

incursion / entrance,
your hands
pawing my breasts as I arch into you,

my tongue exploring your mouth,
seeking a warmth that isn’t there

both of us exploding,
mixing our juices
in a sea of unborn children.

I kiss your eyes
as I drive the stiletto
into your brain,

watch your tears of blood
as they fall

like stars expelled
from an angry sky.

a bit of violent ice porn, but not enough to overcome cliches.

It's easy to dislike this poem, and to pick away at it, but I think there are too many instances of undeniable excellence contained within the piece for them to go unrewarded.

Five.
