With Daddy's arms so tightly wrapped I found it hard to breathe.
The gentler touch next what I found.
The stricter touch I need.
And so you come with idle plans and whisper what I need.
My paper heart that's torn in two.
Deep paper cuts that bleed.
And though I cannot give to you,
That which you do plead,
I'll keep it safe and mend it too.
Wait patiently and see,
If idle plans and idle dreams,
May someday grow to be.
