What can a Man do
save Hold His breath
        and hope
some one in the far away
red-stoned morass
Will see what He offers
Take up the work He has done
        Leave Him enough
                        so He feeds His self
and His hunger
and maybe walks another few miles
To be closer to His final love

Will He stay alive long enough?
      Will she be waiting?
Will the twain be One?

He will never know,
His hearing giving out,
His eyes failing,
till He glimpses what He sought
for so long with such fervour
      And Yet

and Yet It eludes Him
as a Will o'wisp
Playing with Him,
      encouraging hope
then dashing

Does He want an end or
is the Journey enough?

He wants It All
and will not rest
