------------------------------

Today I stepped outside
For a cig & to contemplate.
What was on my mind, was you
And all things that relate.

Unable to just stand still,
I decided to take a walk.
I took a very short stroll
Down this so-called block.

For a very brief moment
I closed my sleepy eyes,
And saw an image of you
Surrounded by blue skies.

On my face was a smile,
For the image was clear.
But here I must also say,
From my path I did veer.

Stepping left a bit too far
While concentrating on thee,
To my utter disbelief,
Down I did come to one knee.

To my surprise and disdain,
In thoughts of you I fell
There was no ouch or pain
Just a big OMG and a lol.

But not to worry my dear.
For from what I can tell,
All that really happened.
In love with you, I fell.
