Half-moon high
in the cold black night
light shining across my skin
and You watch
silhouetted
in the doorway of my room
silent.

What plans are You making
as You enter that space
and pace 'round my room
eyes like coals
smouldering.

From under half-lidded eyes
i watch You
in all Your darkness
cloaked in power
whip in hand
standing there
at the foot of my bed
burning.

Black segues to gray
the half-moon long set
and mind flying
i curl in upon myself
muscles aching
body languid, nerves singing
awake.

Your presence strong
still....
