In This Moment By Jamie Lynn

Slipping away going back to peaceful woods
Smiles softly as i release my long brunette hair
From its prison to cascade down my back.
Giggling as the slight breeze catches my silken
Tresses teasingly tickling my nose.
I lift my face towards the sun's warm caress
Breathes deeply in the earthen smell of the woods
Everything smells renewed after the rain.
Picking my way carefully thru the woods down deer Trails that most would overlook unless you happen
To be a sweet southern country chick like myself.
Slows as i hear movement in the bushes ahead,
Stares in amazement as beautiful whitetail doe and
Her Speckled fawn quietly passby me within 5 feet
Grins as I finally enter my secret meadow,
Sighing as i collapse happily on velvet carpet.

Listening to the gently falling leaves
Listening to steady thumping of my heart
Listening to the melodic birds singing cheerfully
Closing my hazel eyes, I lay back on
New fragrant meadow grasses.

In this moment, I am quiet.
In this moment, I am still.
In this moment, I am calm and at peace.
Drifting off to sleep I am home.
