I want you so that I can almost taste
Your lips when you are far away from me.
I ache to have you hold me in your arms
And feel that nothing we could do was bad.
But still I shrink from what I've never faced,
The final step, of loving totally,
The act of letting you work all your charms,
And giving you what no one's ever had.

I want you -- but I'm of two minds about
Doing what we so much both want to do;
I wish your touch, on this, could shrink my doubt
Instead of making it increase anew.
I want you -- and I wish that I could know
Which way I should decide, for yes or no.
