Today I am like a child;
Sometimes silly, giggly, sullen
Troublesome yet laughing,
Suddenly smiles and sunshine
Finding puddles, fun crayons
Plasticine and yukky fluff
Climbing high, high, no fears
Zooming all around, energy abound
Sliding on the slide, seesaw up, down

Tomorrow I may grow up,
Becoming a serious grown up
Taking my inner child with me
So that on lonely, sad days
I can hold her sticky hand
Whispering:, always remember,
The happy, fun, innocent days
Never forget how to smile, crocodile
Hugging my child like self
