"Amaze me"
She said
And I did just that
Fingers slipping lightly
Over gossamer skin
Like angel wings
Barely touching flesh

"You are as hot as an August night
When the moon rises and looks like ice
But does nothing to still the heat
That slips over the landscape
Like a heavy wool blanket."
I whispered as breath stirred the air

"I know"
She responded,
Her lips lifting in that silly way
They did, like the soft untouched lips
Of a catholic schoolgirl
So I kissed her then and knew
She was no longer innocent
