A day comes in two parts
In validity we can have true or false
At the corner we can go or stop
Suffering weather can be hot or cold
A Dessert can be choice of some or none
A shoe can be left or right
At a sink we can select hot or cold
At a door we can go in or out
In a room we can stand or sit
In a car we choose to drive or watch

Now one toothbrush in a holder for six
King sized bed with matched pillows
The depression only in one
Two dressers and one with mirror
its drawers sit empty
Towel sets washed weekly though
only one used
No hugs to give or get and mail for one
Food for one and house empty but one
Lonely casket awaits lowering
In this journey of one in a life built for two
What's one to do

An interesting question...

A list poem's often fail when they become nothing more than a list. I like the way you used the list of opposing items and them sewed them all together in your final stanza. Nice one.
