He whispers and the tiny hairs on the back of her neck

stand on end, like little ballerinas all in a row

she can’t quite figure out if she heard Him

or did His breath waft into her ear like a curl of smoke

bringing His message inside her, weaving a tale of T/two

His teeth press down on her earlobe like a vice

crushing tender flesh in shiny white enamel

a growl escapes His throat and her passion awakens

needing to match the intensity of her Man

His fingers dance over her throat and for that moment in time

she knows her life is His in the most intimate of ways

Like a god He has the power to make her soar or fall…life and death

she nods with silver blue eyes urging Him on

a silent plea for connection, domination, mercy, understanding

she nods again and waits like a marble statue for Him to move

He takes His hand and strokes her throat like one would pet a child’s hair

Each stroke sending effervescent bubbles through her bloodstream

making her intoxicated, drugged by the caresses, tipsy on tenderness

fear dissolves into a pool of warmth and she swims

He kisses her and with the crystal clarity of sweet bell chimes…she knows

that trust is not a word, not a concept, not something one can define
