Oh yes, I'll keep on fighting – I will reach
Those wind-swept shores I've left too long. Once more
I'll stand, my own man, on that well-loved beach
Glad of the land that all my forebears bore.
Then I may rest my weary limbs and stare
Across the wine-dark sea, the urge long gone
That made us leave here, other's fates to share
At those strong walls that since have been undone -
I'll have to keep on fighting. I have toiled
Too long to stop now though I know I'll find
The hall in ruins, my estate despoiled,
My wife a wreck in body and in mind –
The fruit of my own willfulness recoiled
Upon myself: unkindness paid in kind.

Your sonnet form gets better and better

A cut above most of the work here, in this instance - well done, Sweet O.
