Wearing the shadows
And a smile, nothing but
Waiting for her
With optic lenses
Tree bark heart he sat on
He could see her
She didn't know
Just a silhouette in a maple
He cared enough to bring flowers
Roses in one hand
"Raised" in the other
And when the lights dimmed
His smile was bigger than ever
