She comes hithering to me
Wild eyes wide open eyeing
Look you me staring star eyed
Walled and floored with questions
With soft pad feet steps tapping
Soft to hard wood floors oaking
Up to the bed and up again
To find the spots
I’ve left warm for her
My hand on her head
My hand on her back
A sweet mewly voice in ear
She burrows to my sleeping side
Her own bright mystery
Sharing this tender moment with me
Befringing nesting night with black tawny fur
And one small shock of white
Hidden in soft size hide
While she may even speak
In her soft creak voice
Or hand with her hands
And teeth her sharp teeth on me
I can never know
What she truly wants
It’s all just part of her charm
