It's only a game -
and the rules?
whatever seems convenient
- for most, but NOT me.

Feelings? Yes, I have them
too
but mine don't matter
- 'cept to me.

Fairness? Nothing is fair,
absolutely
nothing
is
fair
when it's only about you;
and you change everything
because it IS
only
about
you
- in your eyes and heart;
and yes real life IS competitive
and you get stepped on
and wonder why from your bed in the dark;
and this IS just a game
and you can DO whatever you want
BE however you want
step and grind anyone,
anytime - just because you CAN...
but damn,
guess you hadn't learned yet
this IS real life too
- just another part.

How you are here
is WHO you really are there -
take the 'shortcuts',
use up your friends,
step and grind with thoughtlessness,
shortchange the WORLD and yourself,
dream of all you'll never be or have
cause it truly is all about you -
this game of Life,
and never about any of the me's.
