Is it better to be just a shell,
Instead of a man risking fiery Hell?
A future of life, with a dull present,
A promise of later, an end to Lent.

Would I be a fool for pleasure now,
And later receive upon my brow,
Endless anguish and toil they will harvest,
Thus my eternal soul will never rest.

Will I yet make my choice for ever?
To be set in stone, to stay forever,
Or will my fate be fluid ‘til the last,
Not to be decided ‘til life is past.

Thus is the choice I will have to make,
And pray for my soul the Lord to take.
