She cries at night,
When she’s finally alone,
Her demons haunt her,
When everyone else has gone home,

There’s no one she can turn to,
Even if she wanted to,
He made sure of that,
He’s made her feel so isolated,

She foolishly misplaced her trust,
And she knows she wasn’t the first,

Her demon controls her,
She shies away from everyone’s touch,
The blame she shoulder’s,
She’s scared of reaching for what she craves,

She wants to be loved; she wants to be needed,
She wants to choose; this time she wants to say yes,

But she knows that her fear still controls her,
Her insecurities are hers alone to deal with,

And it’s all because she was…
Just his latest victim.
