From the ruins of one dream
   to the foundation of another
   he offers his hand

To build brick by brick a new path
to some garden we cannot yet see
   Planted together
   a garden
of times shared and times to be shared
of memory and memories to be made
of hopes left behind and hopes yet to be
   built
   nurtured
   with the passing of time

   I take his hand
