Myst'ry weeps at my bedside
Blood-drenched angels turn their backs
Somewhere deep
In the caverns of my soul
I scream
Naked through the halls
My tattered rags
Cling like leeches to my sin
I claw
Lamentations in the walls

Weep not for me
He said
As he slammed the knife
Into my back
He said
Weep not for me
Mourn for the dead

Ten million martyrs point at me
The arrows ride
Proudly from my back
My song of sorrow
Lost on the fetid breeze
It matters nothing at all
My introspection
Leaves me lost and alone
I burn
Lamentations in the wall

Weep not for me
He said
As he drove the spikes
Into my wrists
He said
Weep not for me
He said
As he opened up
His veins
He said
Weep not for me
Mourn for the dead
