Lassitudes

byRazzRajen©

Sitting on a dale,
watching fireflies in
the evening light

        brooks bubbling and
tenors with their crescendos
the day wanes and the night
crawlers emerge,

souls adrift and winging on the ether,
she reached up a
hand and plucked
a thought out

Looked at it in wonder ,
"Twas a firefly
Whispered her story in
its light and then let it loose

He knows the way to hold a soul,
is to let it fly free
A firefly? a glimmer in the Dark,
a writhing as He came,
watching where the lights floated

        Be where he will go
alone and together,
those slithering sounds,
those peals of laughter,

little ones pleased
and walls immured
Forever and a day,
isn't that the refrain?
