I looked at your picture this morning
That wonderful radiant smile that touched
Me so the first time we met, truly an
Angel so full of joy and laughter
You touched my heart and filled me
With your contagious spirit and I
Wanted you and needed you like
A moth driven to a source of light

And you were that source of light
And you touched me and I touched you
But light does not last forever and
We both backed away driven by fear
That we would burn and hurt each other
Now I look at your picture and wonder why.
