Wandering around under a moon so bright,
My wandering mind asks for answers.
I wonder what mysteries are held this night,
While invisible winds move the trees like silent dancers.

I feel primal eyes watching me,
Taking in every move I make.
Who could this watcher be?
This is more than I can take!

A sound behind me betrays their place,
I turn around to confront my fear,
Expecting to see a familiar face,
Yet there is nothing there!

The dark sometimes plays tricks,
And you can't help but fall for them.
But there is always that little nick,
That says all are not a sham.

Late night is the best time,
Anything can happen.
Late night is usually a quiet time,
Where shadows conceal the hidden.
