Lend me your ears
Send me your tears
Open up your hearts so I can hear my lies

I've been wandering for so long
All their suffering is my curse
Make me listen to my own life
Have me christened in my own strife
These seeds of hate I have sown
And now I am left on my own

What's supposed to work when I'm what's broken
My eyes deceive me and let the lies inside
I am the master and disaster comes faster when I am the caster

I've come to the crossroads
All this pain that I have sown
Like a cat I have lived and died nine times
Make no mistake I am the risk you take
So leave me here at the crossroads
So leave me here so I can be alone

I've been hungering for so long
All my suffering is your curse
Wake me when I'm not the devil
Sate me when I'm all the evil
These needs for sin I have grown
I feed on her skin like my own

Apologies

I didn't realise this was a metal song, but it could work as a poem too, haha!

I have a few thoughts on this if it is a song. Lemee know if you wanna hear 'em.

Interesting...

Very dark...

I see a single figure standing alone in the distance. As I get closer, fleeting, but horrific, images pass my vision, telling me the dangers of striking a deal with this... thing. Scenes straight out of the hell I'm damning myself to with each passing step. As I close in, the inky darkness surrounding us focuses into a crossroads. Two beaten dirt paths and a solitary dead tree at one of the corners.

The shadows swirl around the figure as the visions become their worst yet. It smiles. The only part of it I can make out its brilliant smile, but that shifts into snarling fangs just after a vision passes. It holds out a contract. Alien words and symbols scrawl along the surface, seeming to slither along the parchment the more I stare at it. The one thing that doesn't change is the signature line on the bottom, awaiting my name. Breaking the cycle of the hellish visions, one comes to me of her.

The one I most desire. The one I would trade anything for. My one. My only... soon to be mine. The thoughts of her vanish like mist and, before me, the figure holds out a pure white quill pen. Its grin looks wide enough now to swallow me whole. I take it, then cut my hand on its razor sharp edge. The pen drinks my blood as though it were water and the feather of purest white blossoms into blood red. My wound seals itself as I look at the contract. Soon...

I hold the pen just above the surface, but before I can sign, the worst vision of all strikes me. Unearthly wails pierce my eardrums as I watch evil incarnate unfurl underneath me. I stand on the edge of a great chasm. The tortuous images below forever scarring my eyes. I wish to look away but cannot. This is to be my ultimate fate. I look up at the figure, who is now solemnly frowning. "Are you sure?" The unasked question permeates my very soul. It's her... her beautiful, lifeless form. Her eyes glassy, her face perfect. Over her stands the figure, red dripping from its twisted visage...

I shake my mind free of the final vision and look at the figure. It's still there, waiting patiently. I look down at the parchment, then look up... then I sign my name. The figure grins its widest yet, large enough to swallow the world...

That's my interpretation of the poem, but I'm probably way off... Lol oh well. Thanks for the read! *snaps fingers*
