Look out at the sea of green
A thousand things I’ve never seen
Who cares for carrots?
Who cares for apricots?

The chemicals that have been sprayed
Sing to me like lemonade
With songs of cancer
And songs of impotence

I like oranges, yes I do
I like figs and ‘tatoes too
But bananas make me feel
Kinda strange

Which apples should I get?
Pink Lady, Gala, or Somerset?
The forbidden fruit,
The bible didn’t say

Watch a woman sell her soul
Seein’ if a grape is old
Tell her she’s raisin hell
But she won’t get it

Look out at a sea of green
A thousand things I’ve never seen
I buy some carrots
I buy some apricots

So much food, so much waste
So much like the human race
I wish the check out line
Would hurry up
