And if all goes well,
They are bound
To have something to say
In regards to my work.
I am comfortable
With that because I am the one
That is leading them on.
They need me!
So I’ll keep writing,
And hopefully
Some success will become of it.
Because those that love my poetry
See me for who I am
When the content
Is written with enough impact
To make them want to write
When they need an influence.
Because I know
My pen is my bodyguard.
It always protects me
Even though
My shield is down,
It makes me tough as hell
When the line is set on fire
As a fiery lead on
For the critics to follow
When reaching the end
As I explode off the page.
