As I sit upon these steps
& look out at the world I know,

I see everything changing & moving
At what seems to be the speed of light.

It all moves without making a sound
So quiet and Peaceful,

But I on the other hand am stuck in neutral
So I can hear it all.

The babies that sream & cry, The poor
Begging for life. The ones who don't even
Want a home, but just a house they can call
Their own

I'm not movin at the speed of light,
But yet I am rolling backwards into the
Depths of solitude and the pain with them.

This is not where I belong, nor do they.
We all need help cause we are dying
Alone & cold.

Others pass us so quick they can't even
See us, and when we speak or scream by the
Time they hear us it's to late or they
Think they are hearing things.

So they movie along quicker than ever,
So they don't fall down here.
So we are forced to sit here and watch them
Living to die, while we are just dying
To live!
