Oh, child of darkness, who stands in the night,
Do you mean to harm me, or just give me a fright?
Your eyes are white like those of the blind.
And your teeth faded yellow, like an old lemon rhind.
My heart beats too fast, of that I am aware.
Can you see into that heart? See the blood waiting there?
Or is it the flesh from my bones, on which you wish to dine?
Well, come and do me your worst, I'll neither whimper nor whine.
For death to me is a blessing, my old decaying friend.
I have nothing left to fight for, so be it, let it end.
The distance magicaly closes, and we're standing face to face.
And I step slowly forward, into my life's last embrace.
