You are daylight to my darkness:
I am shadow, you are sun;
as midnight's bride, noontide's mistress,
we are two but love is one.

In the dawn and dusk's converging,
like fallen snow you press upon
my earth brown skin and, with our merging,
night meets day and two are one.
