~ Lofty ~

You pierce my neck with opinion
suckling the last drop from my words
dare I build near the house of the holies
as to gaze upon that which I seek
take thine head from the cloud
the winged choose those allowed
and your sights are a little too lofty...

as to the poetry

this is the one of yours I enjoyed the most. Not too sure about suckling instead of sucking in the second line. Suckling implies a different meaning, so sucking works better IMHO.

Re: Do these comments offend you?

I'm not offended by your comments,

Its those snide little rat droppings you lace them with I take offence with and recognition is not the kind of feedback I'm looking for, especially if it only comes from what you first do for others, because then it is purchased, not earned (think about it) but I as well as most people take umbrage to someone who says things like: I gave it a 5, but should be less, blah blah blah... WTF??? If its not a 5 don't give it a 5, give it what you think it deserves and then kindly move along. Whats the point of saying I gave you more than I should have unless you are a trying to be hurtful or somehow place yourself above others??? And for the record I never asked for your sympathy, just explaining that my online time is limited by my disability and therefore more precious to me than you may understand, hoping that you would get the hint that not everyone can spend the kind of time you speak of commenting and whatnot...

As for braggadocio, you mistake credentials for what it is that you hide behind my friend and Boredom Is Mostly Predicated By Ignorance. I tried to say these things to you by e-mail because like I said I won't do the things that some willingly and most unwisedly do in public. But like I have said, my online time is limited aa well as precious to me and I tire easily.

Ratio 10 to 1 hah, so by that way of thinking then: since I smoke more cigarettes than I chew gum at a ratio of 10 to 1, I should go around giving advice to tabacoo company's. Its true numbers don't lie, but numbers aren't always what they appear to be...

Finally my friend, choose to skip my page or not it means little to me, I'm just wondering how many in the past as well as in the future will feel they should toss in the towel prematurely due to your unnecessary pomposity and foolishly cavalier little quips than really need be.

Because, honestly what other purpose do these jibes of yours serve then I ask???

"You pierce my neck with opinion" is a good line, something that has a lot of variations possible from it. The rest of the poem does not live up to that, in my opinion. (My opinion, of course. May not be others.)

Listing your name and a copyright notice makes you look amateurish. Just saying.

Do these comments offend you?

Don't worry. A curious concoction of emails of asking for sympathy alternately with braggadocio bores me. I'm sure you will get the attention you deserve when you show it to others, but not from me.

Thank you, I can easily skip yours, when and if I do new poems recommendations.

Much better

at avoiding cliches. I scored it a 5. Really should be a little lower. Now in response to your emails. I suggest (strongly) that you get involved. i.e. leave comments on others work. Whose? Whoever you want. Before you do, take a look at what is said, anything that has to so with specifics. Any person that submits a lot of work, that doesn't to comment, I view as taking up shelf space. All of your work earlier was extremely cliched, you are doing something about it. Good. No, Great! My credentials? At most, I may have submitted 70 poems, made over 1,700 comments, I will allow for the fact that maybe half were crap, wrong, or me just having a good time. So we will say 700 comments, ratio of 10 to 1. As long as you make an effort to learn and comment. I am generally a nice guy. Get involved, what you have to say in comments, may be more important, that what you say in a poem. That is the pedestal I am referring to. The only cred I care about is say what you see and make an effort. OK?
