Look at Me

byrose butterfly©

Is this me
Can you see
My reflection
Staring at me
Through the window
Hard to believe
It's really me
Having to be
Out on the streets
Fighting my way
Through the tears
And my depression

chorus:
Look at me
What do you see
A child of privilege
Brought low in just
One blow
Look at me
Don't be ashamed
I'm making my way
Out in this great big world

I should not be surprised
To have to live this way
You see my Master
He lived this way also
The streets were His home
No place to call His own
He had no where to hang
His weary head
His feet they walked the street
Many miles a day
There were lives that were changed
Amongst His journey

chorus

Jesus walked the street
He was not ashamed
Neither should I be
God will provide
My daily needs
My focus is to be
Solely upon Him
He wants my life
To be a reflection
A look into the depth
of His heart
What Jesus means to me
Is more than words can say
He is my Protector
My Guardian, my Salvation

chorus
