A few moments of bliss
an eternity of pain
Seeking to wash away this heartache
in the cold, constant slashes of the rain.
He loved me for a while
and my heart sang.
Without an explanation he was gone;
my world imploded with a bang.
I know not where my heart is now,
all I know is that it isn't here.
So I walk on, shedding too many a tear,
for one I felt alive with, wishing he were here.
