She closes her eyes
and sees black.
Her eyes are the window to her soul,
her heart full of passion.
What was once a passion for life, for love,
has dwindled away into her black abyss.

He stepped into her ocean,
the ocean that was once full of her dreams.
Dreams that have fallen away
are ones that will never return.

She longs for a soft, warm embrace
that only loving arms can give her.
A gentle touch and loving, caring eyes
is what she needs.

He watches her from a distance,
wishing he could tell her the truth.
Even though he hurt her,
he never meant to.
His fear turned out to be stronger than his love,
and now, he regrets it.
He misses her love,
her sweet, caring words.
He misses her;
he always will.

She pulls out a pair of scissors
and starts cutting away.
She cuts up all her pictures;
she can't stand him anymore.
She still loves him,
and seeing reminders of him hurts.
The need to get rid of everything
is stronger than ever.
A new start, a new beginning
is what she needs.

They dream together at night,
always the same dreams.
They are together once again,
together and happy.
The smoke begins to rise
and fire engulfs her.
He never got his chance,
and now he never will.

They lost their chance,
their last chance to be together again.
