The holidays used to be magical
Like the childhood year
My sister and I forgot
Our stockings until after football

Thanksgivings
Where all my friends
Were invited over
We helped cook and laughed

Family gatherings
With people
Who for one reason or another
Are no longer with us

My annual Christmas Eve
Prime Rib dinner
Where I invited
All my friends

The lavish Holidays
We used to be able
Too afford
With two tech incomes

My beautiful Boyd's
Winnie the Pooh
Collectible ornaments
I had the whole collection

My special Classic
Winnie the pooh
Magnetic advent calendar
Gone with many more

I wish I could
Forget all the losses
And just focus
On the magic again
