I draw pictures with my own blood,
hoping that the pain of my open veins,
will distract me from the ache of my abanded heart.
When I can no longer move my torn arms,
or speak from my ripped throat,
I will stop sending you letters written in my own blood,
apologizing for my failure to love you enough.
