Love this timebySweetOblivion©
Let winter wait a while: it can bide
its time, while you remember and recall.
Don't stand in the chill water; for the tide
will soon freeze over: icy leaves will fall
around your feet, but you evoke desires.
These choice delights have never disappeared.
Like ash, they smolder, as will all the fires
that you'll rekindle once the mists have cleared.
Then you can find your focus and design
ideas and concepts of a different kind.
There are thanks giving feasts you can't decline,
though trees are stripped. And stripping brings to mind
a different strand of thought that may beguile.
So, love this time: let winter wait a while.
