~~~~~~
Silouettes beneath the moonlight
two hearts begin a lovers dance,
both of them hearts been broke before
so they do know love's greatest chance.
They dance until the early sunrise
it feels so good for just awhile.
"I sure do love them big brown eyes
and your contagious, lovely smile."
But then they both begin to notice
that their direction's not the same,
so the distance grows between them
there is no need for casting blame.
Well you can hope that love's forever
that it will stand the test of time,
but both of us have learned quite different
as lovers dance this final rhyme.
You walk away with silent heartache
with one last kiss you say good-bye,
I turn away with heart in pieces
so you wont have to see me cry.
