Lust or Love

Man’s lust is primal
Driven by instincts eons old
Procreation its goal
Self satisfaction its only need

Man’s lust is blurring
Wiping all reason and rhyme
Demanding its fulfillment
Absent... compassion and heart

So is it lust or love
When age old shackles are shed
When urgency submits to serving
When meeting her needs... becomes supreme

Is it love then, that allows this transformation?
Primeval force transcends... to loving care
Lust then relinquishes its reign over man
Evolved to this moment... now to be shared

no rhyme just reason

This is a great first submission! The question you ask is ageless, something everyone experiences at one time or another in their life, I'm sure.

And you did it without rhyme! And I think it works. :) I hope to see more.
