Mote:
The white leaves float upon the air,
The red leaves flutter idly down,
Some fall upon her yellow gown,
And some upon her raven hair.
~"Le Panneau" Oscar Wilde

My darling girls dance among wild
flowers, and all is bright and fair.
The white leaves float upon the air,
as they tattle their song so mild.

They run through a misty green field,
Leaping, plucking roses around.
The red leaves flutter idly down,
as they reach a trapped creek revealed.

My red-haired girl in her gold dress
jumps in and rains teardrops of brown.
Some fall upon her yellow gown
And muddy her ways of finesse.

My other, dark-haired, lovely girl
lays as petals fall where they dare.
And some upon her raven hair
Tangle deep in her bouncing curls.
