I know a hill of sorrows deep
Where hearts lay dead in marrow's keep.
I know there sits a girl
Whose heart she did burrow
I know there love once sailed
Which now wraps in darkness' veil
I know she rocks the time away
With solemn song and tears she sways
I know she waits for loves return
Willing the old flames to burn
I know a hill of sorrows deep
Where hearts lay dead in marrow's keep
