So many memories,
Stored in my mind,
And it makes me wonder,
If I’ll always remember them,
When I get older and start forgetting things,
How many of my favoured memories will I forget?
Would it be memories of the good times, the bad?
Maybe it won’t matter anymore,
Because I’ll have replaced them with newer memories,
Maybe even happier ones,
Eventually we all forget our memories,
We’re not like Peter Pan,
We can’t stay young forever,
But with age comes lots of things,
Wisdom, knowledge, the whole kit and kaboodle,
I guess forgetfulness is just one of those things.

Hey! Speak for yourself!

Peter Pan's youth is not of the body but of the soul, so at 98, I'll be as spry as at 38 {just a little slower}.
