MEMORIES IN DARK BLUE

Sometimes late at night,
In very dark places,
Your name still whispers,
Itself in my ear.
Your scent still fills the room,
And I still try to calm your nightmares.
I still taste the sweet glaze of your kiss,
Still hear the happy sound of your laughter,
And still miss your presence in my heart.

I spend a lot of time asking “Why?”

Other times I touch the shades of your flesh and don’t care why.
Sometimes, again, I forgive your sins,
But mostly I just cry secret tears,
For what all of us really lost.
