I wear meri pakol,
Tilted lightly on my head.
It's soft Afghani wool,
Keeping my head warm,
Against winter chills,
Be it high in the Karakorams,
Or along Devon Avenue,
The Chicago winds,
Nipping at my back.
"Dil Dil Pakistan,"
I sing along with my iPod,
As I walk down the street,
To get some warm naan.
My memories of Lahore,
And the women I love,
Keeping me warmer inside.

I like this one very much. Well written. Oh, and something about the mention of listening to the ipod made the poem even more realistic. I can see you on the street now and you do seem like you're in love. :)
