Clearest, crystal, eyes of blue
My friend and faithful companion too
You bring a smile to each and every day
With your sweet and gentle way

I love the way that your tail starts to sway
When you want to play
And although many hairs do go astray
I still love your soft coat of silver, black and gray

You rarely do obey
Rarely sit, lay or stay
And my nerves you often fray
Sometimes turning everything to dismay

From those eyes of clearest crystal blue I cannot get away
Their sparkles softening my dismay
Causing my heart to downplay
Your worst deeds of the day

Clearest, crystal, eyes of blue
My friend and faithful companion too
You bring a smile to each and every day

Day by day, who’d want it any other way?

Dogs

In praise of man's best friend. The old saying said jokingly,

"If you ever need a friend ~ buy a dog," can also be true in some cases. Something about those furry little creatures that warms the heart.

~~

Mournful eyes when they've gone astray

They know how to play the "parent"

As would any human child.

good...

depiction of how we love them and hate them sometimes...but would never want to be without their warm fuzzy personalities and cold wet noses! ;)
